The most exciting developments happening in North is the North-South corridor.  This is an 21km expressway that will connect the North areas of Yishun, woodlands and Sembawang to the City centre. Not only does the expressway reduce transport time to the city centre by 30 minutes, it also connects to other expressways such as PIE, SLE and ECP. Thus, making a huge upgrade in terms of connectivity for residents in the North. The North-South Corridor is expected to complete in 2029.

In addition to the North South corridor, the new Thomson-East Coast MRT Line (TEL) also served the North region of Singapore.  Thomson-East Coast line, one could travel from Woodlands to Orchard, City centre, Marina Bay area. With of the full completion the TEL by 2024, one could travel by MRT from the North to East Coast area easily.  There are 5 MRT stations on the TEL that traverse the North regions:
